Over the Top

Just over the summit of Mt. Rose pass--highest all season highway pass through the Sierras---8911 feet in elevation!! The pass had gotten 14-18" of fresh snow the night before and obviously has had a few more than that over the past few months.

Hitting for the Cycle

The seasons have come full cycle since my arrival last year with an early spring hail storm---preceded by snow, followed by rain and then later by more snow...repeat as necessary.

I have kept care of four small conifers religiously since October and with the coming of longer days new growth is rampant. Going to have to find a home outside for these guys this spring...

The oldest daughter's boyfriend had his WOW gaming headset attacked and eviserated by Minnie---the Horde loving battle dog(pup) that recently took up residence at MTSU. I got the task of putting it back together so the Alliance can continue the eternal struggle of good versus evil.

Gee, this is getting a little old about this time of year. Thee only good thing here is that it is a light fluffy snow as opposed to the wet sticky stuff back east.

Recent warming weather and rains have almost eliminated any trace of snow in the valley.

Mass Storage

Due to some strong recessive genes somewhere in my past I tend to collect things over the years that typically have no intrinsic value. This applies to various hard drives and their contents. Since I occasionally have a bit of spare time on my hands I decided to pull all the contents of each drive. Nearly the whole table's worth of information on these older drives fit onto a single terabyte sized drive. So now I can judiciously dispose of these drives and just have one drive in my "collection":)
