F3 Dust Devil

Tooling back from the hardware store I spotted a fairly large dust devil moving across the valley. While by no means the largest I've seen, it is still very impressive with the dust being thrown well over a thousand feet into the air. And yes, those are rain storms moving up and over the northern end of Mt. Jefferson.

  1. You have to wonder what went through prehistoric people's minds when they saw one of these coming across the land.
O.K., or lightning, eclipses, etc.... =:o)

  2. Used the iPhone so at least it takes decent photos. The absolute best feature of the camera is that it geo-tags the jpg so you know where you took it. Very cool as Picassa pulls up a little Google map and puts a pin in it.
