I spy something beginning with the letter "F"

As dawn breaks over the trees I noticed some movement down by the lake....

One of our local foxes was resting and peering out over the lake. She(?) was soon joined by a somewhat larger fox; they kissed, rubbed cheeks and moved on down the shoreline.

    I wonder if their den is down there - remember that opening under a tree base I was investigating a few years back (when I temporarily lost my camera)?

    They have well worn paths along the lake that the foxes followed....that and I can't believe that raccoons and opossums would stand a chance against these guys on the ground.
